Important Note About Steel Walls

Our Gator Baskets are designed to transform your storage experience—especially when used on steel walls in sheds or pole barns.

Steel walls come in many shapes and sizes. We recommend confirming your ribbed wall dimensions before selecting a Gator Basket. Ribbing direction, depth, and configuration can all affect how the basket attaches. Knowing your wall’s structure ensures proper fit and performance.

Direction Matters

Does your steel wall have vertical or horizontal ribs? Is the surface large enough to accommodate the 2” x 3” Gator Hook? Confirming your wall’s orientation is key to secure mounting. Make sure there’s at least 2” x 3” of flat wall space for the Gator Hook to grip firmly. For best results, allow slightly more surface area. See the example image below:

*If your wall relies on a vertical rib for mounting as shown, weight capacity may vary due to reduced contact surface. Add items gradually to confirm a secure hold.
